This field services team's technicians worked sites with no signal and came back to a windshield full of paper. We built an offline-first field app with photo evidence and signatures, synced to an operations agent that schedules the next visit the moment the van reconnects.

What was actually wrong.
Job sheets were paper, transcribed back at the office at the end of the day — sometimes days later.
Sites regularly had no signal at all, and the previous app simply failed to load without one.
Scheduling the next visit depended on someone reading yesterday's paperwork first.
How we went at it.
Built offline-first, not offline-tolerant
Job lists, checklists and photo capture all work with zero connectivity — sync is something that happens later, not a requirement to start work.
Synced the moment coverage returned
The van reconnecting is the trigger. No technician action is needed for a completed job to reach the office.
Handed the schedule to the operations agent
Completed jobs feed the agent directly, which books the next visit against the same evidence a dispatcher would have read.
