A configurator that opens on a phone on a factory floor
This manufacturer sold configurable industrial units through a PDF catalogue and a six-day quoting cycle. We built a real-time 3D configurator with live pricing, and a sales agent that turns a finished configuration into a quote request engineering trusts.

What was actually wrong.
Every quote started with a salesperson decoding a customer's description of what they wanted. Roughly a third of specifications came back wrong at least once.
The existing 3D viewer was built for a workstation. On the devices buyers actually used on site, it either failed to load or ran at single-digit frame rates.
Valid option combinations ran into the thousands, and the rules lived in one engineer's head and a spreadsheet nobody else could read.
How we went at it.
Got the rules out of the spreadsheet
We sat with engineering and encoded the compatibility rules as a constraint model. Invalid combinations became impossible to select rather than possible to submit.
Set a performance budget before modelling
Under two seconds to interactive and a sustained 60fps on a three-year-old mid-range Android. Every asset decision after that was measured against the budget, on real hardware.
Optimised the geometry hard
Draco compression, KTX2 textures, four LOD levels and instanced hardware. The full configurable assembly ships in less than the original hero image did.
Connected the configuration to the quote
A finished configuration becomes a structured RFQ: specification, options, volume and lead time, assembled for engineering review by the sales agent rather than retyped by a person.
